Hot Chilli Fish Curry Recipe:
1. Peel and chop the onions
2. Peel and crush the garlic
3. Melt the butter in a pan and fry the chilli and curry powders over low heat for about 1 minute
4. Add the onions and the garlic and continue frying for another 3minutes
5. Gradually stir in the stock
6. Add the tomato puree, lemon juice and syrup
7. Simmer the sauce for about 1hour while covered
8. Stir the fish in the sauce and cook for about 10minutes
9. Season to taste with salt and pepper

1 dessertspoon golden syrup
1 level coffee-spoon chilli powder
1 level tablespoon curry powder
1 oz unsalted butter
1 clove garlic
1 pint chicken stock
2 onions
2 tablespoons tomato puree
Juice of a lemon
Salt and black pepper
1 lb cooked diced fish fillets
