Winter Slaw Recipe:
1. Remove any tough outer leaves from the sprouts and trim the bases
2. Wash the sprouts well in cold water and thoroughly drain them
3. Finely shred the sprouts and put them in a bowl
4. Peel and grate the carrots and finely chop the celery
5. Add the carrots together with the walnuts to the shredded sprouts
6. Mix well and season to taste with salt and pepper
To make the dressing:
1. Mix the yoghurt with the mayonnaise and mustard
2. Season to taste with salt and pepper
3. Mix the dressing with the salad
4. Spoon the salad into a serving dish
5. Cover the dish and chill until ready to serve

3 oz (75g) chopped walnuts
2 lb (900g) Brussels sprouts
1 small head of celery
1 lb (450g) carrots
Salt and freshly ground pepper
For the dressing:
1/4 pint (150ml) mayonnaise
1/2 pint (285ml) natural yoghurt
1 teaspoon meaux mustard
Salt and freshly ground pepper
