Chocolate Sauce Recipe:
1. Break the chocolate into small pieces
2. Blend the cornflour with 2 tablespoons of the measured water in a bowl
3. Put the chocolate in a small pan
4. Add the rest of the water and cook over low heat until the chocolate has dissolved and it is smooth (The mixture should not boil)
5. Quickly stir the blended cornflour into the chocolate
6. Add the sugar and the butter
7. Cook the chocolate sauce for a few minutes while continuously stirring
8. Add the vanilla essence to taste
9. Serve the sauce hot (with pears or baked puddings)

2 oz bitter chocolate
2 level teaspoons cornflour
7 fluid oz of water
2 oz unsalted butter
3 oz caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
