Mashed Turnips Recipe:
1. Wash, peel and dice the turnips
2. Cook the turnips in boiling salted water for about 10minutes or until they are tender
3. Drain the turnips and mash them
4. Combine the mashed turnips with an equal of freshly cooked and mashed potatoes
5. Add the tablespoons of cream and the egg
6. Season to taste with salt and pepper and the dry mustard
7. Pile the puree in a buttered casserole and bake in a hot oven of 400F (200C)for 20minutes
