Banana Tea Bread Recipe:
- Sift together 1 3/4 cups sifted flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
- Cream 1/3 cup butter.
- Add gradually 2/3 cup sugar.
- Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add 2 well-beaten eggs.
- Beat thoroughly.
- Add the sifted dry ingredients.
- You can also add 1 cup mashed ripe bananas.
- Beat after each addition until the batter is smooth.
- Turn the batter into a buttered bread pan.
- Bake in a moderate oven (350ºF) for about 70 minutes.
