Potato Cakes

Potato Cakes Recipe:

1. Sift the flour and the salt in a bowl

2. Rub in the margarine

3. Add the mashed potatoes to the flour mixture and mix well

4. Add the milk and make a soft dough

5. Roll the dough out and cut it into 10 to 12 rounds or segments

6. Bake the cake on a lightly floured baking tray in the preheated oven for about 30minutes

7. When serving, split the cakes and spread them with butter

List of ingredients required:

8 oz self-raising flour
1 teaspoon salt
3 oz butter or margarine
6 oz warm mashed potatoes
2 and 1/2 fluid oz milk

The oven should be preheated at a temperature of 450F (230C)
