Cheese and Grape Pastries

Cheese and Grape Pastries Recipe:

1. Peel the grapes and remove the peeps

2. Mix the cheddar, Stilton and the walnuts

3. Gradually beat in the cream

4. Take a little of the cheese mixture, flatten it on your hand and wrap it around the grape to make round cheese balls

5. Repeat the procedure until all the grapes are covered with the cheese mixture

6. Thinly roll out the pastry and cut it into 12 circles that are about 130mm in diameter

7. Place one of the cheese balls in the center of each pastry circle

8. Brush the edges of the circle with the beaten egg

9. Neatly fold each pastry to form rectangular shapes

10. Brush the beaten egg all over the pastries and place them in 2 greased baking trays

11. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12minutes or until the pastries are golden brown

12. Serve immediately

List of ingredients required:

(serves 12 people)

12 large grapes
5 oz (150g) finely grated cheddar cheese
5 oz (150g) finely crumbled Stilton cheese
2 oz (50g) finely chopped walnuts
4 tablespoons single cream
14 oz (400g) prepared weight puff pastry
1 beaten egg

The oven should be preheated at a temperature of 450F (230C)
