Shrimps and Mushrooms Flambe

Shrimps and Mushrooms Flambe Recipe:

1. Trim and wipe the mushrooms then cut them into thin slices

2. Melt the butter in a frying pan and fry the mushrooms for about 3minutes until they are slightly softened

3. Add the shrimps to the pan and stir over moderate heat until they are heated through

4. Season to taste with the nutmeg and the black pepper

5. Toast the bread and place each slice on a different serving plate and keep them warm

6. Warm the brandy in a pan, pour over the shrimps and set alight

7. Immediately when the flames die down, spoon the mixture of mushrooms and shrimps to the hot toast and serve immediately

List of ingredients required:

(serves 4 people)

4 slices brown bread
Black pepper
A pinch of nutmeg
2 tablespoons of brandy
1 and 1/2 oz of unsalted butter
8 oz mushrooms
6 oz potted shrimps
