<p>You can make this strawberry tart as a tea-time treat or dessert and try different fruit flavours of jelly and yoghurt the next time you make it in order to satisfy your own taste. It is fairly inexpensive and easy to make, while keeping the calories down if you are a bit conscious about your weight.</p>
<h2>Ingredients required</h2>
<ul>
<li>½ x 200 g (7 oz) packet Marie biscuits</li>
<li>2 tbsp (30 ml) soft tub margarine, melted</li>
<li>1 x 80 g (2 oz) packet strawberry jelly powder</li>
<li>300 ml (10 fl.oz) strawberry flavoured low-fat yoghurt</li>
<li>1 x 250 g (8 oz) tub plain smooth low-fat cottage cheese</li>
</ul>
<h2>Method</h2>
<ol>
<li>Place biscuits in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or a small glass.</li>
<li>Mix biscuit crumbs with margarine. Press onto the base of a tart dish.</li>
<li>Dissolve the jelly powder with ½ cup boiling water and allow to cool, but not set.</li>
<li>Mix yoghurt and cottage cheese and stir into the cooled jelly.</li>
<li>Pour over biscuit crumbs and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.</li>
<li>Serve cold with fresh fruit</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>Strawberry Shortcake Recipe:</h2>
<p>1. Sift the the flour, cream of tartar, bicarbonate of soda and the salt together into a bowl</p>
<p>2. Cut the butter into small pieces and rub it into the flour mixture until it resembles bread crumbs</p>
<p>3. Blend the sugar in the mixture</p>
<p>4. Make a well in the center and stir in the beaten egg</p>
<p>5. Add enough milk to give the mixture a soft but manageable dough</p>
<p>6. Knead the dough lightly on a floured surface then roll it out into a 7inch circle</p>
<p>7. Place the dough on a greased baking tray and dust the top lightly with flour</p>
<p>8. Bake towards the top of the oven for about 20minutes at a temperature of 425F(218C)</p>
<p>9. Leave the cake to cool slightly on a wire rack</p>
<p>For the filling:</p>
<p>10. Slice the strawberries into thick slices</p>
<p>11. Whisk the cream and the milk together, sweetened with caster sugar to taste. Whisk it until it holds its shape</p>
<p>12. Cut the cake horizontally into 3 layers with a serrated knife and lightly butter each layer</p>
<p>13. Spread the cream over all three layers and then top them with the sliced strawberries</p>
<p>14. Press the layers lightly back together and decorate the top of the cake with the cream</p>
<h2>List of ingredients required:</h2>
<p>8 oz plain flour<br />
1 level teaspoon cream of tartar<br />
1/2 level teaspoon bicarbonate of soda<br />
Pinch of salt<br />
2 oz butter or margarine<br />
1 and 1/2 oz caster sugar<br />
1 egg<br />
3 to 4 tablespoons of milk</p>
<h2>Ingredients for the filling:</h2>
<p>1/2 lb hulled strawberries<br />
1/2 pint double cream<br />
1 tablespoon milk<br />
Caster sugar<br />
Butter</p>
