<p>1. Mix the sugar, salt, cinnamon and the ginger together</p>
<p>2. Add the sugar mixture with the following ingredients and mix well: pumpkin and the lightly beaten eggs</p>
<p>3. Stir in the cup of cream and the grated rind of orange</p>
<p>4. Pour the mixture into buttered custard cups and set the cups in a pan of hot water</p>
<p>5. Bake the custard in a moderately slow oven of 325F (160C) for about 40 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean</p>
