<p>1. Sieve the following ingredients into a bowl: flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and salt</p>
<p>2. Mix the sugar in the sieved ingredients</p>
<p>3. Beat the following ingredients together: egg yolks, lemon juice, milk and oil</p>
<p>4. Add the lemon juice mixture into the dry ingredients</p>
<p>5. Beat the mixture until smooth</p>
<p>6. Beat the egg whites until they are stiff but not dry</p>
<p>7. Fold the eggs and the chopped pecans into the waffle batter</p>
<p>8. Heat the waffle iron</p>
<p>9. Pour in enough batter to fill the waffle iron</p>
<p>10. Close the lid and cook until the steaming stops (this will take about 4minutes)</p>
<p>11. Serve immediately with butter and maple syrup, honey or jam</p>
