<p>1. Shell the broad beans and remove the pale green skins from each bean</p>
<p>2. Cook the beans in very little salted boiling water for about 2minutes</p>
<p>3. Drain the beans</p>
<p>4. Bring to the boil a large pan of lightly salted water</p>
<p>5. Add the pasta to the pan and cook uncovered for about 5 to 10minutes until the pasta is tender</p>
<p>6. Drain the pasta well and toss it in a large bowl with the vinaigrette</p>
<p>7. Add the broad beans and the chives to the bowl</p>
<p>8. Mix the ingredients lightly together</p>
<p>9. Cover the bowl and leave it to cool</p>
<p>10. Garnish with a few chives before serving</p>

1 lb (450g) pasta shapes<br />
8 lb (3.6kg) broad beans in their pods or 1 lb (450g) frozen beans<br />
225ml vinaigrette<br />
4 level tablespoons chopped chives<br />
