<p>1. Put the ham in a roasting dish</p>
<p>2. Pour the beer over the ham</p>
<p>3. Bake the dish in a moderate oven of 350F (180C) for about 45minutes, while occasionally basting with the beer from the dish</p>
<p>4. Mix the brown sugar, dry mustard, vinegar and enough beer to make a smooth paste</p>
<p>5. Remove the ham from the oven and score the fat diagonally in two directions to form diamonds</p>
<p>6. Spread the glaze over the ham, stud with whole cloves and bake for 30minutes longer or until the ham is well glazed</p>
