<ol>
<li>Grind coarsely 1 1/2 cups each of lean beef and pork and 1//2 cup ham, a small pimento and 2 tablespoons shelled almonds.</li>

<li>Add a few drops of Tabasco.</li>
<li>Stir in just enough melted butter to make a spreadable mixture.</li>
<li>Roll out pie dough.</li>
<li>Cut out 8 inch squares.</li>
<li>Spread a liberal scoop of the meat mixture on one half of each square.</li>
<li>Fold the other half over.</li>
<li>Seal the edges.</li>
<li>Bake the empanada in a moderately hot oven (375ºF) until they are golden brown.</li>
