<p>1. Put a large pan over high heat and add the olive oil</p>
<p>2. Add the following ingredients to the oil: garlic, salt, gingeroot, and pepper</p>
<p>3. Add the steak slices and brown them lightly for about 2minutes</p>
<p>4. Add the soy sauce and the sugar</p>
<p>5. Cover the pan and cook the steak for a further 2minutes</p>
<p>6. Remove the steak and keep it warm</p>
<p>7. Add the cups of bean sprouts, tomatoes and green peppers to the remaining juices in the pan</p>
<p>8. Cook the mixture for about 5minutes</p>
<p>9. Blend the cornstarch in the cup of cold water</p>
<p>10. Add the steak back to the pan and stir in the blended mixture of cornstarch</p>
<p>11. Continue to cook while stirring, until the sauce is thickened</p>
<p>12. Serve whilst warm</p>

<p>1 cup olive oil<br />
1 crushed garlic clove<br />
1 teaspoon salt<br />
1 teaspoon chopped green gingeroot<br />
1/2 teaspoon pepper<br />
1 lb flank steak, cut into thin diagonal slices<br />
1/4 cup soy sauce<br />
1/2 teaspoon sugar<br />
2 cups bean sprouts<br />
2 peeled, seeded and chopped tomatoes<br />
2 green peppers<br />
1 tablespoon cornstarch<br />
1/4 cup cold water</p>
