<p>With winter approaching in the US, you would certainly like some potato casserole warm and straight out of the oven after a long day&#8217;s work or perhaps anytime you desire. Potatoes are usually a favorite amongst families because they are easy to prepare ans a potato dish normally does not cost that much. As for ingredients: we usually have these items already but if you need to purchase something, it will be inexpensive. Makes between 6 and 8 servings.</p>
<h2>Ingredients required:</h2>
<ul>
<li>3 medium potatoes, cooked in skins.</li>
<li>5 tablespoons butter.</li>
<li>1/4 cup finely chopped onions.</li>
<li>Ground rosemary.</li>
<li>Salt.</li>
<li>Pepper.</li>
<li>2 cups creamed cottage cheese, beaten smooth.</li>
<li>1/4 cup sour cream.</li>
<li>2 eggs, slightly beaten.</li>
<li>2 teaspoons flour.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Potato Casserole Recipe:</h2>
<ol>
<li>Peel potatoes and slice thin.</li>
<li>Melt butter in skillet.</li>
<li>Add the potatoes and onion: cook over moderate heat, turning occasionally with pancake turner, until lightly browned.</li>
<li>Turn into bottom of 1 1/2 quarts rectangular casserole.</li>
<li>Sprinkle with a dash of rosemary, few grains of salt and pepper.</li>
<li>Blend together the cottage cheese, sour cream, eggs, flour, a dash of rosemary, 1 teaspoon salt and a few grains of pepper.</li>
<li>Pour the mixture over the potatoes.</li>
<li>Bake in a moderately hot oven at 375° for 35 minutes or until set.</li>
<li>If you want, sprinkle with chives before serving.</li>

<h2>German Style Frankfurters Recipe:</h2>
<ol>
<li>Cut frankfurters in half.</li>
<li>Lightly brown in butter.</li>
<li>Remove the frankfurters.</li>
<li>Add onion and cook until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.</li>
<li>Remove from heat.</li>
<li>Drain sauerkraut and add water to the juice to make 3/4 cup liquid.</li>
<li>Mix together sour cream and flour until blended.</li>
<li>Gradually add sauerkraut juice and stir in cooked onions and sugar to make sauce.</li>
<li>Spoon half the sauerkraut into the bottom of a 1 1/2 quarts casserole.</li>
<li>Layer half the frankfurters over this.</li>
<li>Pour half the sauce over the top.</li>
<li>Spoon the remaining sauerkraut and remaining sauce into the casserole to make a second layer.</li>
<li>Split the remaining frankfurters lengthwise and arrange over the top of the casserole for garnish.</li>
<li>Cover and bake in a moderate oven, 350°F, for 45 to 50 minutes.</li>
<li>Uncover for the last 15 minutes of baking time to lightly brown.</li>
<li>Makes 6 servings.</li>

<h2>3-in-1 Casserole Recipe:</h2>
<ol>
<li>Drain fillets on absorbent paper.</li>
<li>Blend thoroughly, butter, parsley and onion salt.</li>
<li>Spread mixture evenly over fillet in small slice (4-5)</li>
<li>Mix soup, milk, cottage cheese, pepper and mustard in saucepan.</li>
<li>Heat, stirring frequently, until almost of the cheese curds dispensary.</li>
<li>Remove from heat.</li>
<li>Fold in macaroni, peas and celery.</li>
<li>Apportion mixture into six 12 oz. casseroles.</li>
<li>Press 4 or 5 fish slices into each casserole.</li>
<li>Top with a tomato slice.</li>
<li>Bake in a moderate oven, 350°F, for 25 minutes.</li>
<li>Makes 6 servings.</li>
<li>If family service is desires, use a 1 1/2-qt casserole. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 40 minutes or until piping hot.</li>
