										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<h2>Beef Steaks with Crushed Peppercorns Recipe:</h2>
<p>1. Wipe the steaks and trim off any fat and gristle</p>
<p>2. Crush the peppercorns coarsely in a mortar</p>
<p>3. Using the fingers, press the crushed peppercorns into the surface of the meat on both sides</p>
<p>4. Heat the oil and butter in a heavy-based saucepan</p>
<p>5. Fry the steaks over high heat for about 2minutes, turning them once</p>
<p>6. Lower the heat and cook the steaks for 5minutes if you want them rare or 10minutes for well done steaks</p>
<p>7. Lift the steaks from the pan onto a hot serving dish</p>
<p>8. Add the brandy to the butter in the pan and set it alight when hot</p>
<p>9. Draw the pan from the heat</p>
<p>10. As soon as the flames die down, gradually stir in the cream</p>
<p>11. Season the sauce with salt and pour it over the steaks</p>

<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>2 1/4 pounds sirloin steak.</li>
<li>1 Tablespoons vegetable oil.</li>
<li>1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed beef broth.</li>
<li>1/2 cup soy sauce.</li>
<li>2 Tablespoons sugar.</li>
<li>1 medium onion, thinly sliced.</li>
<li>2 green peppers, cut into thin strips.</li>

<li>1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced.</li>

<li>Heat 3 to 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink.</li>
<li>Transfer meat to a 4 quart casserole dish.</li>
<li>Discard drippings.</li>
<li>Combine broth, soy sauce and sugar in a small bowl.</li>
<li>Add vegetables and soy sauce mixture to the casserole.</li>
<li>Stir to combine.</li>
<li>Heat covered for 9 to 14 minutes, stirring occasionally.</li>
<li>Let stand 5 minutes before serving.</li>

<ol>
<li>Heat olive oil, garlic, salt, green ginger root and pepper in a skillet or in the top pan of a chafing dish over a flame.</li>
<li>Add flank steak and brown the meat lightly for a minute or two.</li>
<li>Add soy sauce,sugar and cover the skillet.</li>
<li>Cook the beef for about 2 more minutes.</li>
<li>Remove the meat and keep it warm.</li>
<li>Add  bean sprouts, tomatoes,and green peppers to the pan juices.</li>
<li>Cook for about 3 minutes.</li>
<li>Add the meat and stir in the cornstarch blended with 1/4 cup of cold water.</li>
<li>Cook, whilst stirring until the sauce is thickened.</li>
<li>Turn into a warm serving dish.</li>
<li>Sprinkle with scallions.</li>
