Tomato Salad Recipe:

1. Skin the tomatoes and thinly slice them

2. Place the tomatoes in a shallow serving dish

3. Sprinkle the sugar over the tomatoes

4. Season to taste with freshly ground pepper and salt

5. Mix the oil and the vinegar together

6. Sprinkle the vinegar mixture over the tomatoes

7. Add the chopped chives

8. Leave the salad to chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving (turn the tomato slices once or twice during the refrigeration process)

Salt and black pepper
1 level tablespoon chopped chives
12 tomatoes
1 level dessertspoon caster sugar
2 dessertspoons white wine vinegar
4 tablespoons olive oil
