Plum Soup Recipe:

1. Cook the plums together with the sugar, cinnamon and the water until the fruit is soft

2. Force the fruit through a fine sieve

3. Mix the cornstarch with a little cold water to form a paste

4. Return the fruit to the heat and stir in the cornstarch paste

5. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook it for another 5minutes

6. Add the dry white wine and chill the soup well

7. Serve in cups with a dash of whipped cream on each portion

List of ingredients required:

1 and 1/2 lb plums, halved and seeded
1/2 cup sugar
1 inch stick of cinnamon
2 quarts water
5 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup dry white wine
Whipped cream
