Egg and Bacon Bake Recipe:

1. Melt the butter in a large frying pan

2. Put the potatoes and the onion in the pan

3. Cook for about 5minutes while stirring occasionally

4. Add the chopped bacon and continue cooking until the potatoes are cooked through

5. Raise the heat and continue to cook, while stirring until everything is brown and crisp

6. Add salt and pepper to taste

7. Transfer the mixture into a shallow buttered ovenproof dish

8. Make four hollows on the surface of the mixture and carefully break an egg into each hollow

9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 to 15minutes until the eggs are set

10. Serve immediately

List of ingredients required:

(serves 4 people)

4 large eggs
2 level tablespoons butter
1 and 1/2 lb (700g) potatoes, peeled and finely diced
10 rashers streaky bacon, chopped
1 large onion, finely chopped

The oven should be preheated at a temperature of 400F (200C)
